Reporting to the General Manager, primary operating responsibilities included: develop, implement, manage, and document daily editorial copyflow, content checking and loading, and website production processes for and Oversaw daily operation of content publication tools, schedule production staffing, and cover evening and weekend shifts as needed.  Additional operating responsibilities included: production and process quality assurance, troubleshooting, and technical support; development and maintenance of process logs and documentation; ensure editorial copyflow and production systems are redundant and backed-up; support for General Manager with end-user support, systems and training issues.  Ongoing responsibilities included: working closely with General Manager, Managing Editor, and Webmaster to modify and perfect back-end publishing tools; specification and adoption of new back-end/intranet production tools and technologies; keeping up-to-date on electronic publishing tools, intranet and extranet technologies.
Production Manager, Retail Electronic Marketing Systems  (5/96 - 12/96) 
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of Fidelityâs web site ( as well as sites on America Online and Microsoft Network.  The Fidelity web site included over 3,200 pages of information (with an average of 500,000+ hits daily) ranging from contests and various investment tools, to an extensive mutual fund library.  To keep this information flowing in a timely manner required cooperation between Retail Marketing, the Fidelity Legal department, outside consultants and a team of HTML editors and developers.  Web-related projects include: @82DEV (has since been redesigned and renamed "News and Quotes"), department Intranet site, and on-line library and registration sites for Fidelity On-Line Xpress+ú, a window-based trading package. Also responsible for HTML creation and browser testing. 

Business Editor/Analyst, Program Management, Retail Electronic Marketing Systems  (9/95 - 5/96) 
Worked with marketing, development and technical consultants in defining product requirements.  Also work with product marketing and marketing management in obtaining customer feedback/input.  Other responsibilities include analyzing/recommending communication interface solution for end-user software package, involvement in product QA/testing activities, and to act as a liaison with appropriate Fidelity systems groups/service providers. 

Office Manager/Executive Assistant, Retail Marketing Systems  (4/93 - 9/95) 
Supported the Senior Vice President in report/presentation writing and production and act as an office manager for Retail Marketing Systems.  Created and maintained presentation database using desktop publishing.  Created/maintained department-wide reports as necessary.  Coordinated hiring of outside contractors and maintained status reports on all contractors. Managed projects as necessary (space coordination, Corporate Reserves program). Computer software support as necessary. Supervised six administrative support personnel.

Project Manager/Technologies Specialist  
Worked with the consulting sales department to ensure the successful completion of all projects.  This process included reviewing sales proposals for completeness and consistency with DDI policy and procedures, managing ongoing projects in terms of project limits and objectives, and maintaining good client/consultant relationships. Act as a graphics specialist on small projects as necessary.  Also responsible for maintenance of LAN and software/hardware purchases.

Created and managed the Technical Editing department.  Duties included desktop publishing all reports and proposals, designing report covers, and working with Project Managers and clients to create graphic images.  Worked with the company's public relations firm and advertising agency to create a new advertising campaign and corporate image.
